Early SS Senior NCO/Officer's Sword Portepee Knot - German WW2 Accoutrement

Original early prewar SS NCO/Officer's sword portepee. This short-lived first pattern portepee consists of a strap, slide, stem, crown and ball. The black leather strap has triple silver wire stitching with fine silver braiding on the crown and ball. The "eye" at the bottom of ball features black coloured threaded velvet. The portepee measures approximately 45cm in length from tip to tip. The quality of this piece is very high and the condition is really great with only very slight signs of use.
