About the Item
The two exquisite pieces consist of a matching sugar bowl and creamer in the Art Deco "Block Optic" Style.
While both the Anchor Hocking Co. and Hazel-Atlas Glass Co. created pieces in this style, Hocking's bottoms were clear and Hazel's had an "H" in the center.  I have not seen any other sugar bowl/creamer pieces
anywhere in my research
in the Block Optic with the starburst pattern bottom, so I believe these are from an obscure manufacturer.  Ideal for the collector!
Description and approximate measurements:  Matching set has rounded edges.
Scattering of small bubbles and manufacturing imperfections indicative of real depression glass.  Estimated age:  1929 - early 1930s.
Sugar bowl:  5" across (handle edge to handle edge) x 2 1/2" high.
Creamer:  4 5/8" across (spout to handle edge) x 2 5/8" high.
Excellent Condition:  No chips, cracks, crazing, repairs or other damage.
Occasional imperfections in glass typical of this genre, as noted above.
Sugar bowl and creamer kept in family breakfront for decades, handed down through generations.  Owner is selling home and must downsize.
