    Description

    WWII early German fighting knife with double maker stamp Alcoso, AWS
    Early war fighting knife with two maker marks on one side of the ricasso.
    One mark shows the maker's initials, AWS with a scale.
    The other mark is Alcoso/ Solingen.  I believe this would have only been done for a short time at the beginning of the later logo's use, and the end of
    using the older scale logo.
    The knife show honest, light wartime wear.  There are a few chips near the guard area from the knife going into the sheath, which appear to have been unavoidable given the design of knife and the grain of the wood.  The wood looks like a fruitwood, with dense grain and light color.
    Overall length is 10 1/4", blade 5 7/8".
    Its original clip sheath retains most of its black paint.
