For sale 1 German World War 2 Model 1884/98 III Bayonet for 98K Rifle. This bayonet will also mount on many other Mauser 1898 based rifles.
Overall length: 15". Blued blade length: 9.75".  Ricasso marked "44ffc" & "9342/e". "ffc" is the manufacturer's code for
Friedrich Abr. Herder und Söhne
. Brown bakelite grips. Mismatched blued scabbard marked "962 /w" & "42aws" (1942 production by E.u.F. Horster).
CONDITION: turned to a gray patina w/ scattered spots of oxidation. Edge shows a few chips & dents. Rest of metal turns to a brown/gray patina w/ pitting, patina & oxidation. Right grip panel has crack around upper screw, balance very good w/ light handling wear. Black painted scabbard fading to brown w/ peeling finish, handling marks, patina, oxidation & 2 noticeable dents.
