An ORIGINAL RARE WWII era German Army K98 Mauser rifle Bayonet and Scabbard with MATCHNG Numbers! The bayonet and scabbard were made in Germany and both are dated 1938. It is stamped "RICH. A. HERDER" on both the bayonet ricasso and scabbard. The top of the blade near the cross guard is stamped "38". The number "913 d" is stamped on the other side of the ricasso. There are 2 proof stamps on the end of the pommel with an early "Eagle (

) WaA25*5"  *The last number is not easy to read so may be a 6 or 3 or ?  Also there is another "Eagle third reich" stamp (with number unreadable) on the top metal part of the grip. The Scabbard is stamped "RICH. A. HERDER 1938" on one side and "913" on the other. The Eagle stamp on the round end tip of the scabbard is a weak stamp and unreadable.
